New Year’s Blog Hop and a #Giveaway for #2013

It’s another year over! Can you believe it? Well we authors, readers, and bloggers sure can’t. And to celebrate the New Year with bang, we’re going crazy and sending out so many prizes, fun parties, experiences, and other goodies, that it’s a bit scary.

And while we do that, we are EACH doing a giveaway. Yep. There will be over 200 giveaways on each blog hosted by that Author or Blogger.

But that’s not all….

We have THREE grand prizes. You as a reader can go to EACH blog and comment with your email address and be entered to win. Yep, you can enter over 200 times! Each author has a favorite New Year memory, book, idea, or way to party and we’re going to show you!

Now what are those prizes?

1st Grand Prize: A Kindle Fire or Nook Tablet
2nd Grand Prize: A $300 Amazon or B&N Gift Card
3rd Grand Prize: A Swag Pack that contains paperbacks, ebooks, 50+ bookmarks, cover flats, magnets, pens, coffee cozies, and more!

2012 has been an amazing year for me and I needed one after 2011…which is a year I’d rather forget. I’m taking this blog hop as a chance to list my writing goals for 2013.

So here goes…

1. Finish editing and publish Precious Embrace
2. Finish editing and prepare Anew Embrace for publication in late 2013 or 2014.
3. Gain 100 new followers on my blog.
4. Finish my incomplete manuscript ‘What the Heart Wants’
5. Participate in a few books festivals, possibly Sonoma and San Francisco
6. Participate in NaNoWriMo this year. I’ve had to skip the last two years but I want to do it this year. I love the opportunity to bang out a first draft along with thousands of other writers.
7. Continue to promote Dangerous Embrace and hopefully gain new friends in the process. I’m a bit of an introvert and don’t socialize enough.
8. Take at least one writing class and/or marketing class
9. Read and review at least half the books on my TBR list
10. Clean and organize my home office for a better writing environment (it’s really a mess)

What are your goals for 2013. List one in the comments below to enter the grand prize giveaway. You can also use the Rafflecopter below to enter for a chance to win an e-copy of my debut novel, Dangerous Embrace, and I’ll also throw in a copy of the new release from Amy Gregory and Sapphire Star Publishing, Racing To Love, Jesse’s Soul. Jesse’s Soul comes out Thursday, January 3rd. Read below for a synopsis of both books. Visit Amy’s blog for another chance to win both books.
Please don’t forget to leave your email address in your comment!

Dangerous Embrace

Sarah Jennings wants nothing more than a quiet life—alone.
Raised by an eccentric mother, their life on the road only taught her how to run away from hard times. But when she finds herself in an abusive relationship, this lesson serves her well.

Now, back in her hometown, she’s found a place she loves. She’s a first grade teacher, and with few friends and less family around, she has what she wants, a quiet life under the radar where she can be free of her past and live quietly. Finally comfortable in her own skin, she’s settled, and less fearful than she’s ever been in her life.

But it only takes one night and one act of violence for everything to change. Injured and afraid, Sarah wants to run again, but Mark Summors refuses to let her go.

Just when Sarah thinks she can have Mark and the life he promises, her past comes back to haunt her.

Mark Summors was born and raised in Santa Rosa. He married his high school sweetheart and never questioned his life, until he found his wife with another man.

Now divorced, he wants something more. He’s passionate about his job, he wants to protect people, and he devotes his life to it.

This time he’s protecting more than just another client, he’s protecting his future; at least, Sarah Jennings will be his future, once he convinces her she loves him.
Dangerous Embrace on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Smashwords.

Racing To Love, Jesse’s Soul

Jesse Frost lived the life most men would have killed for. Fast bikes, fame, money and looks—from the outside looking in he had all, but the combination nearly broke him. He hadn’t thought much about any of those things throughout his career, he was just an easy-going guy from a speck of a town in Texas that had always worked hard for everything he had gotten in life. He’d been the shy guy in school, so when the prom queen found him years later, he thought he had finally made it, winning her affection was the crown jewel. Her mirage however, left him empty and certain there was no one that wanted him just for the man inside.

Emery Kincaid has a last name that is revered in their world. A woman in a man’s world and succeeding, Irish through and through, she has the temper and sass to boot and a reputation that precedes her. She has remained strong because she’s had no other choice. The pain she masks runs deep and hiding it is the only way she can survive.

Thrown together because of circumstance and forced to be in each other’s space day in and day out, sparks start to fly—from chemistry and the brakes she tries desperately to throw on. Without a doubt in his mind, Jesse thinks he’s found her, but the girl that stole his heart has a stubborn streak a country mile wide.

In reality, what Jesse doesn’t know could break his heart. Hiding her true feelings for him is the only way for Emery to protect him and in turn—herself because her secret, her pain is just too big. She barely made it out the first time, if she let Jesse in, only to have him walk away…well, that’s a risk her heart can’t take.
