Holiday Gifts of Love #HolidayHop #BlogHop

It’s a Happy Holiday from your favorite Authors and Bloggers. While we know everyone celebrates a different way, we wanted to make sure that you guys knew how much we treasure you all. So from Dec 14th to Dec 17th, all 200 or so of us will be blogging about the holidays and what they mean to us. We may talk about our favorite holiday traditions, recipes, gifts, reads, heroes, and so much more. We want to hear about what you do for the holidays, what you read, and who you’ll spend it with. We hope to see you here and happy hopping!

And while we do that, we are EACH doing a giveaway. Yep. There will be over 200 giveaways on each blog hosted by that Author or Blogger.

But that’s not all….

We have THREE grand prizes. You as a reader can go to EACH blog and comment with your email address and be entered to win. Yep, you can enter over 200 times!

Now what are those prizes?

1st Grand Prize: A Kindle Fire or Nook Tablet
2nd Grand Prize: A $200 Amazon or B&N Gift Card
3rd Grand Prize: A Swag Pack that contains paperbacks, ebooks, 50+ bookmarks, cover flats, magnets, pens, coffee cozies, and more!

One of my favorite things about Christmas, which I considered a gift, is the TWO full weeks off from work I get every year. That’s time I get to spend writing, spending time with my family, working around the house, reading or catching up on TV. I watch less than 30 minutes of TV per week due to my schedule. I have no idea what’s on regularly or even what’s currently being featured on HBO or Showtime.
During the holiday break, I love spending the evenings watching my favorite Christmas movies. Everyone has at least one favorite Christmas movie. Since I don’t want to bore you with long descriptions of my favorite holiday movies, I just share my favorite quotes from these moves.

Here are my top three:

From Love Actually: Hiya, kids. Here is an important message from your Uncle Bill. Don’t buy drugs. Become a pop star, and they give you them for free. ~ Billy Mack

From The Family Stone: You have a freak flag. You just don’t fly it. ~ Ben Stone

From A Wonderful Life: You want the moon? Just say the word and I’ll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That’s a pretty good idea. I’ll give you the moon, Mary. ~ George Bailey

What are you favorite movies? Tell me in the comments below and you’ll be entered to win one of the three grand prizes or you can win a $5 Amazon Gift Card from me. Please don’t forget to leave your email with your comment.

AND if you’re looking for something to read over the holidays, please check out my debut novel, Dangerous Embrace.

Sarah Jennings wants nothing more than a quiet life—alone.
Raised by an eccentric mother, their life on the road only taught her how to run away from hard times. But when she finds herself in an abusive relationship, this lesson serves her well.

Now, back in her hometown, she’s found a place she loves. She’s a first grade teacher, and with few friends and less family around, she has what she wants, a quiet life under the radar where she can be free of her past and live quietly. Finally comfortable in her own skin, she’s settled, and less fearful than she’s ever been in her life.

But it only takes one night and one act of violence for everything to change. Injured and afraid, Sarah wants to run again, but Mark Summors refuses to let her go.

Just when Sarah thinks she can have Mark and the life he promises, her past comes back to haunt her.

Mark Summors was born and raised in Santa Rosa. He married his high school sweetheart and never questioned his life, until he found his wife with another man.

Now divorced, he wants something more. He’s passionate about his job, he wants to protect people, and he devotes his life to it.

This time he’s protecting more than just another client, he’s protecting his future; at least, Sarah Jennings will be his future, once he convinces her she loves him.

If you want to check out Dangerous Embrace you can find it on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

The Polar Express is a great one. I don’t think I’ve seen the original Miracle on 34th Street. I will check it out this year.

    1. I forgot all about Scrooged! That is a great one too. I saw it in the theater when it first came out. Of course I was only 5 years old 😉 But I remember liking it even then.
      Thanks for stopping by, Lariza!

  2. I’m partial to A christmas Carol. It doesn’t really matter who the actors are (although I remember Patrick Stewart doing a really good Scrooge), I just love the story! Turns me into a sap everything I see it.

  3. I love the original Christmas Carol (1939 or so ) something about the black and white and the near literal translation from book to film. It’s A Wonderful Life and always at my house – Charlie Brown Christmas. The music and the anoemic little tree…. just perfect displays of Christmas…

Happy Holidays to you and yours,

  10. One of my favorite Christmas Romance Books is The Untamable Rogue by Annette Blair! The story is about Ashford Blackburne Fifth Earl and he has to get married and get his willing bride pregnant before Christmas or his grandfather won’t let him inherit his money. Ash truly needs to inherit the money because his late father squandered it all away and he is taking care of his mother. After getting stood up at the alter, again, Ash and his friends go to the local pub where the owner plays a drunken Ash in a card game…his consolation prize is the pubs daughter Larkin, who he wants to get ride of. Ash has to learn to forgive…Larkin has to learn how to trust…can two completely different people find love together. This is a cute, extremely funny, romantic story with a surprise Christmas ending!
