  • Very nice, Dayner. Such a wonderful word picture. And a sad, true thought.

  • When we grow up we have to leave so many of the joys of childhood behind us. Or do we?

I really like your 55 words and the reminiscent mood they evoke.

Who says we can’t romp and feel joyful under raindrops some warm summer day soon? I will if you will!

  • I miss days filled with sunshowers and laughing in the rain. What happens as we get older?

  • What a delightful image this brings to mind. I can hear the laughter and shrieking too! My experience is of running through sprinklers in the summer, not warm sheets of rain. I’ll blame the cold rain of the Pacific NW for my lack of interest now. I got pelted with hail today on my way to Starbucks!

  • Good one. And it looks like it could be a decent opener to something dark as well as a good stand alone FF.

  • So true…I used to go out and play in the rain, too, especially on a warm day. Now, the closest I get is watching outside my window. Why? I never thought of it. But next time it rains, I just might go out.

  • You still there? Miss you! Hope this means you are writing writing writing like crazy and/or doing something fun for the long week-end.
