  • Good for you and good for us! You did the work and we get the glory of it in pictures.

How far is it across the bridge? The sun was shining beautifully. Was the temperature nice and the wind, how was the wind?

Since you walked, I’ll be lazy today. Thanks for the workout.

    • Enjoy your laziness you earned it! It was a little windy but not too bad. The temperature was comfortable. I just wore a light jacket. It’s about two miles across to drive but a little less to walk since you don’t walk the approaches.
I enjoyed it, but I much prefer the beach trail I walked last weekend, it was quieter.

  • Thanks for sharing your walk. I’ve never walked the bridge, but I love the city. I’m there only in memory, for now.

  • I ran across that bridge once — but my knees were in considerably better shape than they are now. 🙁

But it was exhilarating and your pics brought back fond memories of that. I love SF!

  • These are beautiful pictures. It’s so interesting to see it from the different perspectives. The second picture is my favorite. The textures appeal to me as an artist.

My son is on spring break this week, hopefully the weather clears and we have the opportunity to spend some time in the great outdoors. I’ll try to remember to keep my camera handy.

  • Oh wow – is that beautiful. We had that gorgeous weather this weekend, too & it was SO invigorating. Spring is here!

  • I’ve only ever seen the bridge from a distance on the beach, once when I visited. I love that city though and these are beautiful photos!! Thanks 4 sharing.

  • Great pictures Dayner! I remember running across this bridge in my younger years and it was glorious. In Portland on one Sunday in August each year, we have the Bridge Pedal. The city closes most of the bridges across the Willamette and 20,000 of us ride our bikes or walk across the bridges in Portland (there are eight). It’s a great way to see the city from a different perspective and lots of fun too!
