Good morning, Dana!
Thank you so much for having me. It feels like forever since I’ve talked to you, but I’m so excited that Precious Embrace is doing so well—congrats honey! I can’t believe it has been almost a month since Eli’s Honor and Precious Embrace both released!
Mr. Eli Hunter is winning over hearts, and I’m so excited (I say this with my fingers crossed and knocking on every piece of wood I can find!) he is still holding onto that number one spot! My husband teases me because Eli has been a secret crush of mine for a long while. Although, I have to say, I have a new book boyfriend, one that my readers have actually met before, Mike Sterling. Let me rephrase that, Detective Mike Sterling.
I had so many people ask about Carter’s older brother, the big teddy bear of a cop that came to the rescue in Carter’s Treasure. What started as a kernel of an idea for a short story in the Racing to Love series, quickly snowballed. Before I knew it I had a new series forming taking me in a whole new direction and Mike Sterling was just the guy to lead the charge. The books are a bit different from the Racing to Love series, as they are a bit shorter, the heat level is ratcheted up a couple notches and there is no common theme to all the stories, except that they are all looking for something in their life.
The Finding Perfect series is based in a small town in Kansas and Mike is the first in the series to find himself. Finding Perfect isn’t about plastic people, money, fake smiles and lies. It’s about reality. What is perfect? Well each person’s idea of perfect is different, but perfect is what makes them happy. For all of us finding perfect is finding the perfect person at the perfect time with the perfect place to land, together.
The biggest surprise? In Carter’s Treasure Mike came across as a lovable big brother, but the truth is there is a side of Mike we haven’t seen, and in Finding Perfect we get to see it all. When it comes to women Mike knows what he wants, he just hasn’t found her yet. He left his unperfect life in Chicago and returned home to Kansas to lick his wounds. Then, when he wasn’t looking she arrived in his town and she was standing at the bar, back turned to him in a sexy pair of stilettos. Mike has no idea who she is, but the words of his science teacher came back to him as he strolled over to her, chemistry is a powerful thing. He might have been through hell, but staring into her green eyes he suddenly didn’t feel like Finding Perfect was as unachievable as he once had.
Look for Mike, book 1 in the Finding Perfect series to release on Sept. 1, 2013.
Have a great day and thank you again for having me, sweetie!
Aw, thanks, hon! It’s so nice to hear from you too! Thanks for stopping by. I, like most other Carter’s Treasure readers, am very curious about Mike. He piqued my interest right away. I can’t wait to hear his story.
